The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in collaboration with the Department of Agrarian Reform (DA) and Local Government Unit of San Agustin, conducted series ofskills training for the ARB members of Mapalad Bautista San Antonio Cooperative held in San Agustin, Isabela on May 7-11, 2015.

Skills training on Corn Husk Weaving and seminar on Simple Bookkeeping and Entrepreneurship were the highlights of the training.

SMERA Counselor, Mr. Romeo Panopio was the resource speaker for the Entrepreneurship seminar while DTI CARP staff, Mr. Romancito Sangil shared his expertise on simple bookkeeping. Two (2) resource speakers were also outsourced by DTI for the skills training on Corn Husk weaving.

A total of sixteen (16) ARB members of the Mapalad Bautista San Antonio Cooperative benefitted from the training wherein they were able to produce twined corn husk in different sizes and coin purse as a product output.

The Mapalad Bautista San Antonio Cooperative is one of the developing cooperatives in Isabela assisted by DTI.
