The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) region 02 has kept its Level II Accreditation status under the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) of the Civil Service Commission.
DTI regional director, Atty. Ma. Esperanza C. Bañares accepted the Certificateof Revalidation awarded by CSC No. 02 regional director, Atty. Neil S. Agustin and Cagayan-Batanes provincial field office acting director II Ms. Jovy VT. Miguel during the seminar on the “Strategic Performance Management System” (SPMS) and Program to institutionalize Meritocracy and excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) held at the Balai Carmela Resort, Tuguegarao City on January 6, 2015.
The certification is granted to agencies that satisfactorily implements CSC human resource management systems/programs which gives authority to the agency to continue to take final action on appointments.
Atty. Agustin lauds DTI R02 for maintaining its accreditation and for maintaining its commitment in continuously providing high level of standards and quality services to its clients. He even appreciated the recitation of the DTI Quality Policy and Hymn during the opening program.
“the CSC is more than willing to provide assistance to the agency in further improving the agency’s HR practices, system and procedures.”, he added.
Further, Ms. Miguel said that, “In 2012, seventy-five (75) accredited agencies from NGAs, SUCs, GOCCs, LGUs were reassessed by CSC and only 51 agencies retained their certification which included the Department of Trade and Industry regional office no. 02.”
