The GREAT Women Project 2 (GWP2) conducted the GREAT Women Project 2 Orientation and Greening the Gender Responsive Value Chain Analysis (GGRVCA) Workshop last 15-16 January 2018 at the Villa Blanca Hotel, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
The GWP2 Orientation aimed to introduce to the Women Microentrepreneurs (WMEs) what the GREAT Women Project 2 is and what it has to offer in the WMEs’ pursuit of their businesses.
Meanwhile, the Greening the Gender Responsive Value Chain Analysis Workshop aimed to equip WMEs with basic knowledge of the Value Chain, incorporating in it the basic concepts of green and gender. This knowledge in the value chain enabled the WMEs to analyze each process in their respective value chains and determine the corresponding impediments. The analyses that the WMEs came up with were utilized by them in crafting their own action plans to address the identified impediments.
The event was participated in by 40 Women Microentrepreneurs (WMEs) from the Region belonging to the Non-Food Sector.
Mr. Hubert Par of the Department of Trade and Industry – Project Management Team spearheaded the orientation; while Ms. Rita Pilarca, consultant, facilitated the GGRVCA Workshop.
