The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quirino Provincial Office conducted the Graduation Ceremony of 26 Quirinian mentees who were able to finish 10 entrepreneurial modules and presented their Business Improvement Plan (BIP) on November 23, 2017 at Oryza Hotel, Maharlika Highway, Barangay Villasis, Santiago City.
In her opening message, Ms. Ma. Sofia G. Narag, the OIC Provincial Director of DTI Quirino, boosted the confidence of the mentees and reminded the mentees that they are the ‘Class Lagablab’, the batch who has a burning passion.
Meanwhile, Ms. Lenore Lee S. Lopez, Supervising Trade Industry Development Specialist of DTI Quirino, discussed the mechanics in presenting Business Improvement Plan. She said, the BIP Presentations will serve as the mentees road map in their journey as competitive entrepreneurs.
The three (3) panels were organized into four-member teams composed of representatives from business sectors, banking sectors, accredited mentors, DTI and other government agencies. Ideally, they managed effectively the 26 mentees.
On the other hand, three (3) mentees were given a chance to express their blissful message. One of them was Ms. Erlinda Chi, an owner of Flowerqueen Enterprises.
Ms. Chi said, “KMME Program changed my direction. Ayaw ko nang bumalik ng Hongkong para magkuskos. I would rather stay here at our beautiful country, to have a direct supervision of my business. I believe that this program is a solution to us to be self-sufficient and to generate employment.”
In addition, Ms. Ja. Blessie Ann B. Ngabit, a representative of QSU Dairy Processing, said, “Sa bawat lingong magkakasama kaming mentees, napatunayan naming there is always a room for improvement and learning never ends. Maraming salamat sa lahat ng masisipag na employees ng DTI.”
Lastly, Ms. Leonida S. Ramos, a representative of Quirino Livelihood for Everyone, gave her blissful message to DTI. “On behalf of the mentees, we got valuable learnings. Learnings that we won’t find in the four corners of our processing center. DTI pushes us to be well equip entrepreneurs,” she said.
DTI assured to all mentees that the agency will continuously provide the necessary assistance to help them improve their businesses.
