The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 02 led a delegation of guests and participants to an Agro-industrial Tour in Metro Cauayan, Isabela on November 14, 2017. The tour was organized in conjunction with the Cagayan Valley Regional Investment Forum. 

The companies visited included the Isabela Biomass Electric Corporation, the largest biomass energy powerplant in the Philippines, located in the municipality of Alicia; Golden Season Grains Center, the leading grains center in the country, located in the municipality of Luna;New Hope Corporation, a pioneering company in feed production worldwide also in Luna; and the Agri Component Machineries, a pure Filipino-owned and operated manufacturer of world class post - harvest facilities located in Cauayan City.

Cauayan City Mayor Bernard Faustino Dy, welcomed the visiting group at the Hacienda de San Luis where lunch was served courtesy of the LGU-Cauayan City.

Meanwhile, a fellowship cocktail dinner for investors and resource speakers was served at the Balai, Capitol compound in the City of Ilagan on the evening of November 14, 2017. This was hosted by the provincial government of Isabela where the guests were entertained by the Isabela National High School Youth Rondalla.

The Agro-industrial Tour, Investors Fellowship Cocktail Dinner and a Golf Fellowship Match were side events of the Cagayan Valley Regional Investment Forum which was conducted in collaboration with the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) - R02, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) - R02 and Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) with the aim to stir awareness on the bountiful investment opportunities in Region 02 towards making it another preferred investment destination in northern Philippines.
