Products displayed in the Center include fashion bags, pouch, wallets and flowers out of recycled papers; processed pineapple products;  processed fish products,  t-shirts printed with tourist attractions of Sta.Ana;  novelty items from shells and coconut husks and many more. These finished products were the results or outputs of the various skills/technology trainings conducted in 2016 for RIC beneficiaries which were funded under another DTI BuB project entitled “RIC Display Products” in the amount of Php 1,000,000.00. 

Sta. Ana – On April 5, 2017, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Cagayan Provincial Office and LGU Sta. Ana recently launched the Visitors Information and Pasalubong Center in Sta. Ana, Cagayan.

This project is a priority project proposed by the Local Poverty Reduction Action Team (LPRAT) and funded under the DTI BuB 2015 in the amount of P500,000.00. This amount was augmented by LGU Sta. Ana and the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 2.

The Center will provide MSMEs greater access to market where they can sell their local products and a place where tourists can go to buy souvenir products.

In addition, the center will also be a big help to MSMEs as they have now a permanent and regular outlet to promote their products.

The launching ceremony started with a ribbon-cutting followed by the blessing of the building and a short launching program. The ribbon cutting was headed by the Local Chief Executive, Hon. Darwin A. Tobias with  Sangguniang Bayan Member Hon. Melecio Costales; the Provincial Director of DTI-Cagayan, Engr. Bernardino G. Mabborang;   the Project Development Officer of DOT R02, Mr. Thomas Santos; and MLGOO Jun Calimag. 

Rev. Fr. Rolie G. Pimentero officiated the blessing ceremony. Some   Department Heads of LGU-Sta.Ana were also present. The presence of MSMEs-exhibitors added significance of the activity.
