The Department of Trade and Industry - Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (DTI CARP) in Quirino recently conducted entrepreneurial seminars for the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) in the province on February 21-23, 2017.

DTI 2 SMERA Counselor, Ms. Evelyn Viloria served as the resource speaker for the three (3) sets of seminars which were independently conducted for the three (3) ARBOs.

Participants were members of the Cofcaville Upland Farmers Association in Maddela, Dumanisi Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association in Diffunand Aglipay North Agri-Business Association in Aglipay. 

Seminars conducted were on Food Safety for the Cofcaville Upland Farmers Association on February 21, 2017, Good Manufacturing Practices and 5S of Good Housekeeping for the Dumanisi Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association on February 22, 2017,and Basics of Entrepreneurship for the Aglipay North Agri-Business Association.

DTI Quirino Trade and Industry Development Specialist, Mr. Lovell Mark Campania discussed the Basic Consumer Rights and the provisions of the RA 10909 (No Shortchanging Act) torefresh the knowledge of consumers on their rights for them to become more vigilant and protected consumers.

Meanwhile, DTI-Quirino CARP Staff, Mr. Anzon Babaran discussed other DTI services under the CARP Program which include entrepreneurial, skills and productivity trainings, product development, market matching and other consultancy and technical services.
